TRUMP'S 50 FIRST DAYS
This sequence was created and submitted in the student-run RIT NPPA What We Do Competition. Using only the Associated Press photo archive, I selected no more than 25 images and sequenced them to create a slideshow that best illustrated President Trump’s first 50 days in office. As most people know, this particular election and outcome has become controversial for our country, so I wanted to represent that but to also balance it with the opposition, his supporters and rally's as well. When I think of past presidential coverage, I think of both sides of the spectrums, press conference coverage, but also intimate, humane moments. I didn't want to focus on any of the extreme aspects of his presidency thus far, but to use them as accents to the sequence. This sequence won first place in the picture editing research category for 2017's, "What We Do Competition".
